Senior Java Developer
Ex Machina is seeking a talented and enthusiastic software developer to join our PlayToTV server team in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. You will take part in product development of our PlayToTV platform as well as develop project specific server extensions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as Java software developer
- Strong Java API knowledge (J2SE)
- A degree in computer science or a related field (BSc or MSc)
- Experience with developing software tailored/optimized for cloud hosting
- Experience with code and protocol optimization
- High comfort level working within (and analyzing and improving) an established code base
- Able to work in a collaborative environment with a team of highly skilled engineers
- Thorough understanding of NoSQL persistence solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Fluent in Dutch and English
Pluses
- Experience with NoSQL persistence solutions, specifically MongoDB
- Knowledge of RESTful Web Service development
- Programming language experience (Python, Ruby, JavaScript)
